You can rest easy now. It’s official, Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film, ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood‘ will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
There were rumors that the film would join the competition at Cannes, but nothing had been confirmed because no one knew if the film would be completely ready in time.
But Tarantino worked diligently in his editing room, and 25 years after Pulp Fiction, will once again be in the running for the coveted Palme D’or.
The Cannes Film Festival will run between May 14 and May 25th. The reason Quentin didn’t know if the film would be ready in time was because he once again shot everything in 35mm, which takes longer to edit than digital film.
It’s expected that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will premiere at the festival on May 21 to mark the 25th anniversary of Pulp Fiction’s world premiere.
If you’re not going to Cannes, you’ll have to wait until July 26, 2019 to catch the film inside a theater near you.[mashshare]
