Are you a fan of Paul Rudd? Of course you are. It’s difficult not to be a fan of Paul Rudd. Of course, it’s equally hard to be a HUGE fan of Paul, and by that I mean he’s kinda like angel food cake. It’s not really hated by anyone, but if someone asks you what your favorite treat is, you’re not going to say angel food cake.

Anyway, this post is surprisingly not about angel food cake. Rudd has reportedly joined the cast of the latest installment of Ghostbusters.

Insiders say he’ll play a teacher in the film, most likely the teacher of the character that’s going to be played by ‘Stranger Things‘ star Finn Wolfhard.

Sony wouldn’t comment on plot details, but insiders tell Variety the story will be an extension of the original ‘Ghostbusters’ and focus on a single mom and her family, with Coon playing the mom and Wolfhard playing her son. It’s unknown how exactly it connects to the original Ghostbusters series. Sigourney Weaver is also rumored to return as Dana Barrett.

Jason Reitman is directing this project over 30 years after his father Ivan Reitman directed the original Ghostbusters film.

‘Ghostbusters 2020’ will begin filming later this year and will reportedly be released next summer.
