The cast continues to get even more impressive for Clint Eastwood’s drama, Richard Jewell.
We already knew Sam Rockwell, Kathy Bates and Paul Walter Hauser were on board, now we know Olivia Wilde and Jon Hamm have also joined.
Hauser will be playing the titular Jewell. Rockwell will plays his lawyer and Bates will star as his mother. Wilde will co-star as real-life reporter Kathy Scruggs.
The drama is based on Marie Brenner’s article in Vanity Fair chronicling the story of Jewell, a real-life security guard whose world was turned upside down after law enforcement leaked to an overzealous reporter that Jewell was a possible suspect for the pipe-bombing at Centennial Park during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
And just in case you don’t know much about this story and want to go in fresh, we won’t tell you how Jewell’s story ends.
No word on when this movie will be released, but filming hasn’t even started yet, so it’ll likely be released either late 2020 or sometime in 2021.[mashshare]
