The wait is over, Bond fans. We now have the official title for the 24th James Bond film: Spectre. For those of you who don’t remember the significance of Spectre, allow us to refresh your memory real quick. It’s an acronym for Special Executive for Counter-Intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion. It’s a worldwide terrorist organization, which made its first appearance in the 1961 novel, Thunderball.
In addition to revealing the title, director Sam Mendes also announced the official Bond car (seen down below), and the official cast for the film.
Daniel Craig will be returning as Bond in Spectre, but he will have a number of new faces working alongside him. It was finally confirmed that Christoph Waltz will play a major role in the movie. Sam Mendes failed to mention the name of his character during the press conference; however, the official Twitter account revealed that he will be playing Oberhauser.
Léa Seydoux (Blue is the Warmest Color) will also join the cast as Madeleine Swann. David Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) will play the villainous henchman, Mr. Hinx, and Monica Bellucci (The Matrix Reloaded) will play Lucia Sciarra.
Filming for Spectre is expected to begin tomorrow. It is expected to be released worldwide November 6th, 2015. You can check out the official synopsis and movie poster down below.
