New Report Claims Ben Affleck Wants To Drop Out Of ‘The Batman’ Completely

It looks like Ben Affleck might be over the entire Batman franchise. What started out as a passionate relationship has quickly transformed into a puddle of urine. It all started after the terrible reviews of Batman V Superman. Affleck worked so hard to nail the role, and no one cared because the movie was a mess. His performance was lost.

After that, he managed to convince the studio to give him his own Batman film. He would write it, direct it and star in it so no one else could screw it up.

Only problem is that’s a lot of work for just one man. To direct, write AND star in such a huge film is insane. Affleck realized this after trying to do everything himself for several months.

Earlier this year it was announced that Affleck would be stepping out of the director’s chair. He told his fans the following:

“There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions. Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require.”

He would still star and help write the movie, but directing duties would go to Matt Reeves. It seemed like the perfect solution and we thought everyone was happy.

But now we are hearing that Affleck wants out completely. This all coming from the latest episode of Collider Movie Talk. Host John Campea revealed he’s heard from three separate sources that Affleck is trying very hard to get out…

“Ben Affleck, make no mistake, he wants out. He doesn’t want to be Batman anymore.”

It’s important to remember this report has not been confirmed, so don’t go too crazy yet. We’ll keep you posted, but things don’t look good in the Batman universe right now.
