Just when people were starting to complain that Netflix’s streaming library was starting to go downhill, Disney has stepped in to save the day. Netflix will be injecting a much-needed shot of energy into their library starting this fall.
On Monday, the streaming service announced it would become the exclusive streaming carrier for Disney films on U.S. pay TV services. Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer for Netflix, explained the deal on the company’s blog.
“From September onwards, Netflix will become the exclusive U.S. pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar.”
They haven’t released any specific titles to look out for this fall, but you can bet there will be something for every member of your family. Pixar, Disney, MARVEL? I mean, come on. No one is going to leave their house. People will be trick-or-treating online.
Netflix also revealed its summer schedule, and it’s looking like it has some serious potential. You got the Jurassic Park collection coming on June 1, Best Picture winner Spotlight coming on June 22, and Netflix’s Original Film The Fundamentals of Caring will be released on June 24.
And July starts out strong with The Big Short and Brahman Naman. Check out the video below for more titles coming this summer…
