Last year we had the raunchy Seth Rogen comedy Neighbors, and this year we have Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart’s outrageous comedy, Get Hard. Just like Neighbors last year, Get Hard will have its world premiere at SXSW on March 16.
It’s clear Warner Bros. is hoping to have the same success Universal had with the Seth Rogen comedy last year, which brought in over $260 million worldwide.
And after watching the new red band trailer down below, we believe there is a decent chance it becomes a huge hit.
After all, it does have both Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart in it. This film could be about two guys shoveling snow and it would still dominate the box office.
The film was directed by Etan Cohen. Jay Martel and Ian Roberts get credit for the screenplay. You can check out the official synopsis and red band trailer down below. Get Hard will be in a theater near you March 27, 2015.
This trailer was enough to make me want to buy a ticket. Does it work for you?
“When millionaire hedge fund manager James King (Will Ferrell) is nailed for fraud and bound for a stretch in San Quentin, the judge gives him 30 days to get his affairs in order. Desperate, he turns to Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart) to prep him for a life behind bars. But despite James’ one-percenter assumptions, Darnell is a hard-working small business owner who has never received a parking ticket, let alone been to prison.
Together, the two men do whatever it takes for James to “get hard” and, in the process, discover how wrong they were about a lot of things – including each other.”
