Are you a fan of The Hulk? Well, we have some bad news for you. It looks like the character will not be getting a standalone movie any time soon.
Mark Ruffalo, the actor who plays The Hulk in the Avengers franchise, talked to Variety recently, and he revealed that a standalone Hulk movie won’t happen because Universal owns the rights to the character and they’re against the idea.
“I want to just make one thing perfectly clear today: A standalone Hulk movie will never happen. Universal has the rights [for standalone Hulk movies], and for some reason, they don’t know how to play well with Marvel. And, they don’t want to make money.”
He revealed that they tried talking to Universal at one point, but it just doesn’t seem like it’s ever going to happen. The good news is that Ruffalo has already reported that the Hulk has a “major storyline” in both Avengers 4 and Infinity War.
So at least you’ll be seeing more of the character in the future. Maybe if the fans react well to his storyline, and Ruffalo continues to put the pressure on Universal, they’ll cave and let Marvel make a standalone film.[mashshare]
