‘Marianne’ Creator Samuel Bodin Set To Direct Horror Film ‘Cobweb’ For Lionsgate

If you have a Netflix subscription (or know someone who has one, or know someone who knows someones who has one) then you might have seen a French horror series titled, Marianne.

It’s received outstanding reviews from critics, and the creator/filmmaker behind the series, Samuel Bodin, is getting some much deserved recognition.

It’s being reported that Lionsgate has hired him to direct the upcoming horror-thriller, Cobweb.

This project is an exciting one. The script, which was written by Chris Thomas Devlin, has received a lot of attention. It was ranked No. 1 on the BloodList and made the Black List in 2018.

Cobweb’s story centers on a boy whose parents have always told him the voices he hears in the walls of his house are just his imagination. But when he discovers the sounds are actually real, he goes on an unnerving quest to discover the truth.

Obviously no one knows when they’ll be able to start filming, thanks to the ongoing pandemic. But if things continue to progress, perhaps they could begin as early as this fall/winter.
