Who will be joining the already impressive cast for Bryan Singer’s ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’? Kodi Smit-McPhee has officially been cast as Nightcrawler in the upcoming 2016 film. He will join, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender.
Who is McPhee? He is a talented young actor, who got his big break starring in the film adaptation of The Road. He then earned everyone’s respect for his fantastic performance in Let Me In. And then last year he starred in the blockbuster, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
The exciting casting news was announced via Singer’s Instagram account.
Production on the film will start up soon. It’s believed filming will begin in April in Montreal, but before that happens, there are still a few important roles that need to be filled. As of right now, X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled to hit theaters May 27, 2016.
The Nightcrawler character made his first live-action appearance in X2: X-Men United. He was played by Alan Cumming.
