It’s hard to perfect the horror-comedy, mostly because the genres are trying to achieve different things. One is trying to scare the hell out of you, and the other one is trying to make you laugh your ass off.
But sometimes, the perfect blend is created and magic happens. We’ve seen it with Shaun of the Dead, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, and most recently with Krampus.
And now, the director behind Tucker and Dale, is back with a new horror-comedy film titled Little Evil. Adam Scott stars in the movie, which is interesting because he also played the lead role in Krampus. Has he found his niche in the movie industry? Will he be the new horror-comedy king? Probably not, I just thought it was an interesting tidbit.
Anyway, Scott plays a man named Gary in the movie, and Gary is a man “torn between balancing his new marriage to the love of his life Samantha with the horrific realization that his new stepson Lucas is actually The Antichrist.”
Evangeline Lilly stars as his wife and Owen Atlas plays the evil kid. This movie will be released on Netflix September 1, 2017.
