The Star Wars franchise has a rabid fan base. We all know this. They eat, live and breathe Star Wars, and they want the actors in the films to do the same.
But it looks like one actor from the recent reboot of the franchise is checking out.
John Boyega shared a photo on his Instagram account of him back on set for an untitled project, which seemed harmless enough. But then a Star Wars fan commented, “Force Finn in action with Green lightsaber dressed in black is all I want from the next SW film!”
Boyega didn’t want the fan to get their hopes up, so he responded with a simple, “lol no thank you. I’ve moved on [heart emoji].”
That’s when another user commented talking about how Boyega got that Disney cash and then dipped. Boyega responded to that comment by writing, “nope. Not into playing one role for too long. I have more to offer than that. That’s all.”
And you know what? I 100% believe him. He definitely strikes me as the type of actor who wants to always be challenged, and playing the same character over and over again is not much of a challenge.
It’s why sitcom actors struggle so much after 4 or 5 seasons. I mean, they keep doing the show because it’s making them so much money, but at the same time, you can see just how much life it sucks out of them.
