You hear a lot about Lucas Hedges and Timothee Chalamet, but you don’t hear as much about another young actor, Jesse Plemons. He has a few years on Chalamet and Hedges, but he’s only 30-years-old and he’s been quietly putting out some great work.
He was hilarious in ‘Game Night,’ and his performance in the indie flick ‘Other People‘ was absolutely beautiful. The dude has serious talent, and it looks like that talent will shine in Charlie Kaufman’s upcoming film, I’m thinking of Ending Things.
“Plemons will play Jake, a man going on a road trip to meet his parents on their secluded farm with his girlfriend (Brie Larson), who is thinking of terminating their relationship. When Jake makes an unexpected detour leaving her stranded, a twisted mix of palpable tension, psychological frailty, and sheer terror ensues.”
Kaufman is directing this flick for Netflix. He’s also writing the script, which is based on Ian Reid’s 2016 novel of the same name.
I’m super excited about this project. Brie Larson and Jesse Plemons are great talents, but when you combine them with someone like Kaufman? The sky is the limit. This is the dude who wrote Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Adaptation, and Being John Malkovich.
No word on a release date, but we will keep you posted.
