Ouch. Who says acting isn’t dangerous? Jeremy Renner spoke at a press conference the other day to promote Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Wind River‘ film, and during the press conference, someone had to ask about his obvious injuries.
He revealed that he fractured his right elbow and his left wrist while filming a stunt for ‘Avengers: Infinity War,” and surprisingly he didn’t seem that concerned about it.
Renner said “That’s how it goes. It’s part of the job,” which is a pretty impressive attitude to have. He’s currently filming a New Line comedy titled ‘Tag,‘ and he’s trying his best not to let his injuries get in the way.
“I’m sort of a problem solver, you know. There will be an effect to it, but it won’t stop me from doing things that I need to be doing. I’ll heal fast. I’m doing everything I can to heal faster. I’m doing a job [“Tag”] that isn’t really requiring a ton of stunts. It’s not an action movie; it’s a comedy. It just happens to have a few stunts in it. So I don’t have to beat a whole lot of people up or do anything crazy. “
Damn. Good for him then. If I broke both my arms, I would not be working. I’d be in bed, watching reruns of The Office while a nurse feeds me ice cream.
By the way, Avengers: Infinity War is currently in production at Pinewood Atlanta Studios. It will hit theaters May 4, 2018.[mashshare]
