It’s no secret Jennifer Lawrence likes working on David O. Russell movies. She’s already starred in two of his films, and both of them have been wildly successful: Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. The team of Russell, Lawrence and Bradley Cooper might be one of the best trios since the Jonas Brothers took over the world in 2005.
As most of you know, they have teamed up together for a third time to make Joy, and while the film won’t be released until Christmas, the experts believe this could be another award winner.
During a Q&A session after the first screening of the movie, Lawrence told Russell, “I’ll do anything with you until you die. It’s sweet and f–ed up.” If you have been following J-Law’s career, then this quote shouldn’t surprise you.
In previous interviews, she has said things like this…
“David and I will never, ever, ever, ever not do movies together. I love him so much that sometimes I can’t talk about him without tearing up. Look! I’m tearing up.”
It seems like they are extremely comfortable with each other. Do they fight and scream at each other while filming? Sure. That’s what makes their relationship so great. No one gets offended because they have so much love. They are like family at this point.
We’ll end this post with a quote from Russell on his favorite actress from Kentucky…
“Jen’s the same person, this girl from Kentucky who is becoming a woman. I’ve gotten the privilege of watching that. That’s also the story of this movie (Joy). It’s a lot for a 25-year-old. But it’s happening. Jennifer is really finding her own voice.”
