Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are two extremely talented actors, and they’ll be joining forces for an upcoming untitled sci-fi movie for Netflix. The film is being directed by Catfish directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost.
Screenwriter Mattson Tomlin wrote the script, which features a drug epidemic that gives people a range of superpowers.
“The protagonist is believed to be a teenage actress of color who finds herself dealing the drug to help care for her family. Sources say Foxx will play a family man who has suffered a great loss and is desperate to trace the drug’s supply line and find its designer, while Gordon-Levitt will play a beat cop who takes law enforcement matters into his own hands.”
Sounds like there is a lot going on, but I suppose it sounds interesting. I mean, if Foxx and Gordon-Levitt liked the script enough to star in it, then there must be something there.
No word on a release date, but Foxx is currently filming a drama with Michael B. Jordan and Brie Larson. You can catch Gordon-Levitt in the upcoming indie thriller 7500.
