We all know Jamie Foxx loves his daughter, Corinne. They have a pretty close relationship, even working together on Foxx’s ‘Beat Shazam‘ game show.
Corinne ain’t trying to get stuck in the land of reality TV though. She wants a career in film just like her father.
The 25-year-old actress just made her film debut in the horror movie, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. The movie, which hits theaters this weekend, had its premiere at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood on Tuesday night.
And of course Jamie showed up to support his daughter. She told reporters..
He’s so proud of me, he can’t even look at me without tearing up. I used to shy away from my last name. I really wanted to create a career for myself. [But] I’ve learned to embrace it in the last few years.
She also said that she talked to her dad a lot while filming the movie, hoping to get some quality acting advice. Unfortunately, he didn’t really help. He told her that “it’s so easy anyone can do it,” to which she responded, “You won an Oscar, of course it’s easy for you.”
