For the past month or so, there have been rumors floating around claiming Daniel Craig was planning on returning to the James Bond franchise for one more film. This was a surprise to a lot of people because after filming ‘Spectre‘ he told reporters he’d rather slash his wrists than film another Bond movie.
But after taking a little break from the action, the 49-year-old star has decided to return for one final movie. He confirmed he will star in the still untitled Bond 25, which is scheduled to be released on Nov. 8, 2019.
He broke the news during an interview with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night. He revealed that he “couldn’t be happier” to return.
“We’ve been discussing it, we’ve just been trying to figure things out. I always wanted to, I needed a break. I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”
This should please fans of the franchise. He’s been one of the best Bond actors the franchise has seen, so this should be a wonderful goodbye party.
It’s going to kill at the box office. People will run to see it knowing it’s his last performance as the character.[mashshare]
