Some fans have been wondering if Henry Cavill’s time as Superman has come to an end. The reason for the speculation being that Warner Bros. has not announced any new films for the character.
The studio has been trying to “revamp” their development slate due to the success of films like ‘Aquaman‘ and ‘Shazam!‘ and the failure of the 2017 ‘Justice League‘ film.
So is Cavill’s time as Superman over? Well, the 36-year-old talked to Men’s Health recently, and he claims he still has a story to tell as the ultimate superhero…
The cape is in the closet. It’s still mine. I’m not going to sit quietly in the dark as all the stuff is going on. I’ve not given up the role. There’s a lot I have to give for Superman yet. A lot of storytelling to do. A lot of real, true depths to the honest of the character I wasn’t to get into. I want to reflect the comic books. That’s important to me. There’s a lot of justice to be done for Superman. The status is: You’ll see.
Well, damn. Okay then. Sounds promising, right? Of course, he can’t do it by himself. It doesn’t matter how much he wants it, the studio has all the power. He’ll have to convince them. Not us.
We’ll see what happens.
