I don’t know if you can really call a 30-second clip a “trailer” but everyone else is doing it, so we’re going to as well.
This TRAILER is significant because it’s our first time hearing Beyonce as Nala. In the trailer, Nala can be heard saying, “Simba, you have to take your place as king. We need you. Come home.”
She sounds, uh, like Beyonce. I’m not sure what everyone was expecting. Her voice is as smooth as butter. It’s super soothing.
At the end of the trailer, you can also hear Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner as Pumbaa and Timon. They will obviously provide the comic relief. I have to say, casting Billy in this movie was a great move. The urgency in his voice always makes me laugh.
In addition to the three stars mentioned above, this movie also stars Donald Glover, John Oliver, and Eric Andre.
