Harry Styles became a household name as the lead singer of One Direction, and while he’s still doing the singing thing, he’s also trying to become a legit actor.
He had a little role in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk‘ film, which was his acting debut. And even though his role wasn’t a leading one, he still made an impression. You could tell he might be decent at this acting thing.
And it looks like he’s about to get his shot to prove it. According to a report from Deadline, Styles is set to co-star in the upcoming New Line thriller Don’t Worry Darling.
The film, which is being directed by Olivia Wilde, is also set to star Florence Pugh and Chris Pine.
Shia LaBeouf was set to star in the movie, but had to remove himself due to a scheduling conflict, which is where Styles comes into the picture.
Although little is known about the movie’s plot, Don’t Worry, Darling is set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert. Katie Silberman wrote the screenplay based on a spec script by Shane and Carey Van Dyke.
They are set to start filming this fall, so it’s possible a release date could come as soon as 2021.
