Ready or not, Toy Story 4 is fast approaching. The film is expected to hit theaters June 21, 2019, and I don’t know about you, but I’m a little nervous. Toy Story 3 was such a great way to end a trilogy. It feels like they’re gambling by adding a fourth movie.
Earlier this week, Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley shared the first image of Bo Peep. That’s right, Bo Peep is making a return to the franchise. The last time we saw her was way back in 1999 for Toy Story 2. She was not in Toy Story 3, but they did briefly mention she had been one of the casualties of the yard sale.

But she’s returning for this fourth film, and she’s a little different than we remember. She has ditched the skirt and replaced it with a jumpsuit of sorts. Since she’s been living on the road, she has become more adventurous and free spirited.
“Bo’s taken control of her own destiny. While Woody was watching Andy grow up, Bo gathered dust until she took it upon herself to head out into the world. And when Woody shows up, they can’t believe that they’ve found each other again.”
His description makes you wonder if she didn’t actually get sold in the yard sale. Maybe she left Andy’s house by herself, or maybe she just escaped from her new owners.
We’ll find out soon enough when Toy Story 4 hits theaters in June.
