Fifty Shades of Grey, the first film released based on the ridiculously successful book trilogy by E.L. James, grossed close to $600 million worldwide, and the upcoming sequel Fifty Shades Darker will likely have the same amount of success.
Both Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are back for the sequel. They will be having even more sex in this one, which should delight fans of the franchise. Although, it might hurt to know that both Johnson and Dornan don’t even really like filming those steamy scenes.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, Dornan admitted he feels sexualized playing the role as Mr. Grey…
I feel very subjective a lot of the time at work. So I wouldn’t say I’m relatively not objectified in the workplace. I am. It’s not just the women, but men too. Sex scenes are hard because you’re simulating sex, and that’s a very strange way to spend the day.
Johnson has said similar things in her interviews, but it’s difficult to feel too bad for them. Getting paid millions of dollars to have pretend sex doesn’t sound that bad. Heck, getting paid millions to do pretty much anything doesn’t sound that bad. I’d push old people down some stairs and take away their Metamucil if someone was paying me millions to do it.
Fifty Shades Darker will be released on Valentine’s Day 2017. Check out the trailer below…
