It looks like filming on the latest James Bond film has come to a complete stop after Daniel Craig suffered an injury while filming a scene in Jamaica last week.
According to an unnamed source, Craig was running in a scene when he slipped and fell awkwardly. He was reportedly in a lot of pain and “complaining about his ankle.”
The actor fell while sprinting on the set in Jamaica last week and has been flown to the U.S. for X-rays, resulting in a suspension of the shoot.
No word on how long production will be suspended. This is just the latest setback for Bond 25. There was lots of tension behind-the-scenes during the writing of the script. The original director, Danny Boyle, ended up leaving the project due to creative differences with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.
As of right now, the film is scheduled to hit theaters April 8, 2020. But depending on how severe Craig’s injury is, that date might get pushed back.
This isn’t the first time Craig’s suffered an injury while filming a Bond movie. During his first stunt scene in ‘Casino Royale’ he had two teeth knocked out. He has also tore a muscle in his shoulder, injured his knee and sliced off the tip of his finger.[mashshare]
