Yes, the ‘Fast & Furious 9‘ is still happening, and yes, people are risking their lives to make this movie.

According to multiple reports, a stuntman was seriously injured on the set of ‘Fast & Furious 9’ in the United Kingdom. He reportedly fell (from an unknown distance) and hit his head.

The situation was dire enough that an air ambulance was called out to the scene,

An ambulance, three ambulance officer vehicles and Essex and Herts [Hertfordshire] Air Ambulance were called to Leavesden Studios shortly before midday today (July 22), following reports of a man injured in a fall. One patient with a serious head injury was transported to the Royal London Hospital by air ambulance.

Production was stopped for the day. No word on if they started back up on Tuesday.

Hopefully this stuntman makes a full recovery. It’s a really dangerous job and they often don’t get the credit they deserve. Movies would not be nearly as entertaining if these badass stunt people refused to work.

‘Fast & Furious 9’ is scheduled to hit theaters in May 2020. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Tyrese Gibson will all be returning.
