Are you a ’90s kid? If so, you probably remember watching ‘The Magic School Bus‘ on repeat. The animated show followed eccentric teacher Ms. Frizzle and her class as they set off on new field trips every week.
The series first aired in 1994 and came to an end in 1997. It recently got some weird reboot on Netflix, where we followed Ms. Frizzle’s younger sister and her class, but the reboot came to an end after two seasons.
Now Universal is developing a live-action movie adaptation of the original series, and it’s being reported that Elizabeth Banks will play Ms. Frizzle.
She will also produce the film with Max Handelman for Brownstone Productions.
We are delighted to bring to life the iconic Ms. Frizzle and her zest for knowledge and adventure in a fresh new way that inspires the next generation of kids to explore science and supports the dedicated teachers who help make science real and accessible for young learners every day,
We’re not sure when filming is scheduled to take place, but we’re assuming it won’t start until next year.
