Elizabeth Banks just released her Charlie’s Angels sequel earlier this month. She directed, wrote and co-starred in the film. Sadly, it did not perform well at the box office.
It has made just $44 million worldwide and it worked with a budget of around $55 million. Neither the critics nor the general audience seemed to enjoy it.
But every filmmaker his their hits and their misses, and Banks is hoping to get back on the right track with a new project titled Invisible Woman.
She is set to direct and star in the film, which is based on her own original pitch.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but sources say Banks’ pitch is very different from the “Invisible Man” film coming out in February that stars Elisabeth Moss, and there is no crossover potential on either film.
We’ll be following this project closely. Hopefully more details will come out soon.
In the meantime, you can catch Banks in the upcoming Hulu series, Mrs. America.[mashshare]
