Life continues to look good for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The 48-year-old actor was just named the world’s highest paid actor for the second year in a row.
Between June 2019 and June 2020, Johnson earned around $87.5 million. Over $20 million of that came from his starring role in the upcoming Netflix flick, Red Notice.
The bad news is that this $87 million total is a decrease from the previous year for Johnson. He made $89 million the previous year, so yeah, that’s disappointing. I wonder how he’s coping. We’ll pray for him.
Ryan Reynolds is second on the list. He brought in $71 million this past year, and just like Johnson, $20 million came from the Red Notice film. The budget for the action film is reportedly close to $200 million, if you were wondering.
Mark Wahlberg came in third at $58 million, Ben Affleck in fourth at $55 million and number five is Vin Diesel with a respectable $54 million.
Adam Sandler, Will Smith, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jackie Chan, and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar round out the top 10.
In total, the 10 stars were paid over $500 million. Must be nice, right? Must be nice.
