Disney-Pixar’s next film ‘Onward‘ might not have the same amount of hype that most Pixar films have, but it’s still expected to perform well during its opening weekend.

The story, which follows a pair of teenage elf brothers, is expected to bring in around $45 million during its opening weekend. The film is scheduled to hit theaters in less than a month on March 6, 2020.

The brothers in the movie are voiced by Chris Pratt and Tom Holland. Octavia Spencer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ali Wong and Lena Waithe will also have voice roles in the fantasy film.

Onward will be going up against Ben Affleck’s indie sports drama, The Way Back. Tracking suggests it’s projected to make around $10 million during the weekend.

It was scheduled to be released last October, but for some reason Warner Bros. pushed back the release date until March. Typically, that’s not a great sign, but the trailer looks decent, so I’m willing to give it a chance.
