It looked like everything was golden for the next James Bond film, ‘Bond 25,’ but now things are a bit unsettled after Danny Boyle announced he was leaving the project.
He was all set to direct the film. Back in March, he announced his interest in the project and was supposed to give it his full attention after directing an untitled comedy starring Kate McKinnon and Lily James.
But now it has been announced that Boyle will no longer be involved in the project. The official James Bond Twitter account revealed the exit was due to creative differences…
“Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25.”
Of course, “creative differences,” is a vague statement, much like the “irreconcilable differences” you see in most celebrity divorces. Who knows what happened behind closed doors.
This next Bond film is going to be very important because it’s expected to be Craig’s last performance as the secret agent. We have to imagine the studio is giving him a lot of creative control, and he’s probably the one who had a problem with Boyle.
We will keep you posted as the story develops.
