Constance Wu continues to be a constant in Hollywood. Over the past few years, she’s become one of the biggest stars, both in TV and film.
She has starred on ABC’s ‘Fresh Off the Boat’ for multiple seasons, and last summer she starred in the hit rom-com, Crazy Rich Asians.
You’ll be able to catch her alongside Jennifer Lopez in ‘Hustlers‘ later this year, and then next year you’ll be able to catch her in the film adaptation of Goodbye, Vitamin.
According to multiple reports, Universal Pictures has optioned the rights to the 2017 debut novel from Rachel Khong, and they’ve already signed Wu to star.
Goodbye, Vitamin follows Wu’s character, Ruth Young, who discovers that her father, a renowned history professor, has lost his job after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She decides to return home and work with her father’s former student to stage a fake class so he can continue to teach.
The novel was named Best Book of the year by NPR, Vogue, and O, The Oprah Magazine.
No word on a release date, but it’ll likely be released sometime next year, depending on how quickly they begin filming.
