It was revealed this week that Colin Farrell is currently in negotiations with Warner Bros. to star in ‘The Batman‘ as The Penguin.

If this deal closes, Farrell will join a trio of villains, including Paul Dano as the Riddler and Zoe Kravtiz as Catwoman.

Farrell is no stranger to comic book villains, having played Daredevil’s arch nemesis Bullseye in 2003’s Daredevil. He’s also played a variety of intense roles, including a broken police officer on Season 2 of True Detective and a cagey hitman in In Bruges.

The movie, which is being directed by Matt Reeves, has already found its Batman. Robert Pattinson will play the titular character, which should get everyone excited because the dude is an incredible actor.

I’m not a huge fan of comic-book movies, but I am a huge fan of Pattinson, so I’m willing to give it a shot.

The Batman is set to be released June 25, 2021.
