Marvel just took over the box office last weekend with ‘Captain Marvel‘ taking in over $500 million worldwide during its opening weekend, and now they’re ready to take over YouTube.
On Thursday, Marvel released another trailer for ‘Avengers: Endgame‘, the huge conclusion to 2018’s Infinity War.
Like previous trailers, the latest clip is light on details for what will come in the big finale that Endgame promises to be. But a repeating mantra is that the Avengers will do ‘whatever it takes’ to try and undo the damage that Thanos (Josh Brolin) has done — even if Thanos himself fails to make an appearance in the trailer.
And since I’m not at all interested in the Avengers story, I like to focus on the box office numbers. This film has the potential to break every Marvel record out there.
Right now, Black Panther and Infinity War hold all the records. Black Panther holds the domestic box office record with a cool $700 million while Infinity War holds the worldwide gross record. Both films were released in 2018.
And now just one year later, Endgame has a chance to beat both of them. Obviously it’s going to depend on the reviews and word of mouth, but it’s going to be huge no matter what.
Check out the trailer below. It’ll hit theaters April 26, 2019…
