Remember when the first trailer for the live-action ‘Sonic the Hedgehog‘ film was released? It was released earlier this year and received widespread criticism for Sonic’s human-like appearance.
Fans didn’t like how normal his face looked. Small eyes, human teeth…it was just unsettling.
And to the studio’s credit, they listened to the criticism and decided to fix Sonic’s appearance. The film was scheduled to be released in November of 2019, but they pushed it back ’til February 2020 to work on the CGI.
The first trailer featuring the new and improved Sonic just hit YouTube this week, and it seems like fans are pretty delighted with the changes.
As you can see, Sonic looks a little smaller and less like a human. He looks less creepy. That’s for sure.
Of course, this doesn’t mean the film will be good. It simply means Sonic’s appearance won’t be the problem.
