Lupita Nyong’o has already made her mark in Hollywood at just 36-years-old. She won an Academy Award in 2014 for her work in 12 Years a Slave. She also starred in Black Panther (one of 2018’s most successful films) and Jordan Peele’s latest masterpiece, Us.
And while she’s known mostly for her intense/serious roles, her upcoming film ‘Little Monsters‘ promises to add a little humor to her resume.
The horror-comedy film stars Lupita, Josh Gad, and Alexander England.
The trailer features Nyong’o as the eternally optimistic elementary school teacher Miss Caroline, who is overseeing a field trip to a petting zoo. The day starts out normally and seems to be going well. Then, the zombies arrive. Just next door to the petting zoo is an army base where a series of experiments have gone awry, creating a zombie virus that spreads quick.
Things get incredibly silly and just a little scary from there. This movie will hit theaters in the UK on November 5. It’ll hit theaters in the states on November 15.
