We told you earlier this week that a trailer for ‘Clerks III’ would be dropping this week, and surprise surprise, we weren’t lying!
The first trailer for the third installment in the cult classic film series has dropped. Writer-director Kevin Smith released the trailer on his social media accounts. He had been hyping it up for the past several days.
Clerks III is set to follow Randal, played by Jeff Anderson, after he suffers a life-threatening heart attack. With the help of Dante, Elias, Becky, Jay and Silent Bob, Randal sets out to make a movie about the convenience store that started it all.
As most of you know, Kevin Smith himself suffered a massive heart attack back in February of 2018, so he’s clearly tapping into some personal trauma for this movie.
Clerks III will find most of the original cast returning, including Jeff Anderson, Brian O’Halloran, Jason Mewes and Rosario Dawson.
The original ‘Clerks’ film hit theaters nearly 30 years ago. The second film was released in 2006.
Clerks III is set to hit a theater near you on September 13, 2022. Check out the trailer below…
