Imagine that. You settle down with your little one ready to take in the delight of Disney’s latest spectacular film. You hold your little daughters food tray, while she wiggles out of her little winter jacket in the seat next to you. You look down at the little movie kids meal, complete with mini popcorn, and Frozen themed slushy drink. When she is all done you put a little napkin down on her lap, open the straw and put it in her drink for her, marveling at her innocence.
The previews begin and with that you get that excited energy you get only from going to the theaters. Then without warning you are shown a Von Trier NC-17 trailer complete with graphic sex, oral sex, naked spanking and a sex starved Uma Thurman talking about whoring in bed.
That is exactly what happened at a Regals Cinema in Pinellas Park, Florida. After experiencing some delays and technical issues, a mini short of Mickey Mouse’s Steamboat Willie cartoon came on and then lead right into the trailer for Nympho. Not only a movie with sex, but a movie that is advertised as the most sexually explicit film ever. The trailer at less than two minutes long, but that seemed like and eternity for parents who had to shield their kids from the graphic content,

“It seemed like forever when you’re trying to, you know, cover a little guy’s eyes. . .I didn’t have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good.”
But fear not, Regal made everything just right. For the price of stealing the innocence of our youth, each movie goer was given a free ticket.
