‘American Pie’ Star Thomas Ian Nicholas Claims An ‘American Pie 5’ Was Written Five Years Ago, And The Studio Still Has It

Could the ‘American Pie‘ gang come back one more time? Well, it’s possible. And if they ever do decide to come back, there will be a script waiting for them.

Thomas Ian Nicholas, the actor who played Kevin in the American Pie franchise, talked to Us Weekly recently and surprised everyone by revealing ‘American Pie 5‘ has already been written. He said the writing team behind American Reunion wrote the script for Universal five years ago…

“That’s been sitting on a shelf at Universal collecting dust. There’s been a script for five years. Universal hired them to write it. I thought we were doing it the following year. That was the plan and then I didn’t hear anything. Hopefully Disney doesn’t buy Universal and we get to buy American Pie 5. I think there’s a chance. There’s always a chance. We never thought we were going to do the fourth one.”

As you can see, Nicholas is all about this potential sequel, and why wouldn’t he be? We’re sure they’re loads of fun to film, plus, the paycheck is probably very nice.

But it might be a bit difficult getting everyone together, and yes, you need everyone to come back. You can’t have American Pie without Jim, Oz, Finch and especially Stifler.

Anything is possible, though. I mean, MTV is currently shooting a Jersey Shore reunion, so why the hell not.

Willem Dafoe Is In Talks To Star In A24 Thriller ‘The Lighthouse’

2017 was a very good year for Willem Dafoe. He starred in A24’s coming-of-age film The Florida Project and received several nominations for his work in the movie. He’s currently nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars. And the three-time Oscar nominee is also set to receive this year’s honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement at the Berlin International Film Festival.

The 62-year-old actor won’t be slowing down in 2018. He’s already set to join Edward Norton in Motherless Brooklyn, and now we’re learning he’s also in talks to join another A24 project.

According to the reports, Dafoe is about to sign a contract to star in the upcoming thriller titled The Lighthouse. Robert Eggers, the man who directed The Witch, wrote and directed this film. Dafoe will be playing an aging lighthouse keeper. It’s reportedly being set at the start of the 20th century and it’ll be filmed in Nova Scotia.

Not much else is known about this project, but we will of course keep you posted. We are strangely attached to anything A24 touches, so this film won’t slip under our radar.

Watch The First Trailer For Sony’s Standalone ‘Venom’ Movie

Tom Hardy’s spin-off Spider-Man film is set to be released later this year, and Sony just released the first trailer for the flick, which features Hardy as Spider-Man villain, Venom.

What’s odd is that this trailer doesn’t really feature Venom at all. It has action shots, things exploding, and people running all over the place, but it does not show Venom.

I mean, really…this is just your standard action-movie trailer. There isn’t anything special about it, and maybe Sony is doing this on purpose to not spoil anything, but it is possible to release a great, spoiler-free trailer as well. It doesn’t have to be one or the other.

Venom is set to hit theaters across the nation on October 5, 2018, so there is still plenty of time for Sony to release a better trailer.

The New Trailer For ‘Deadpool 2’ Has Arrived, And It’s Filled With Action And Comedy (VIDEO)

Cable is finally getting his moment in the spotlight in this new trailer for Deadpool 2. Fox released the hilarious/action-packed trailer on Wednesday, and it’s clear Josh Brolin is going to kill it as Cable.

As to be expected, this trailer features a few “breaking the fourth wall” moments courtesy of Mr. Deadpool himself. In the beginning, Deadpool interrupts the action to complain about the film’s incomplete visual effects.

Later in the trailer, when Cable delivers a generic villainous line, Deadpool turns to the camera and says, “Well, that’s just lazy writing.” This trailer certainly gives fans everything they want to see from the franchise, so kudos should be sprinkled all around.

By the way, Fox also released an “official synopsis” for this sequel. You can check it (and the trailer) out below. Deadpool 2 will hit theaters May 18, 2018.

“After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”

The Reports Are True, A Live-Action ‘Kim Possible’ Movie Will Be Coming To Disney Channel

In a world where live-action remakes/reboots have suffocated an entire generation, the journey to clean/fresh/original air won’t get any easier.

According to multiple reports, Disney Channel has begun casting for a live-action Kim Possible movie. As most of you should know, Kim Possible was an extremely successful animated series on the network. It aired on Disney Channel from 2002 to 2007, totaling 87 episodes and two movies.

E! News explains:

“It starred Christy Carlson Romano as the voice of Kim, a high school girl who was also a skilled crime fighter alongside her best friend Ron Stoppable (Will Friedle), his naked mole rat Rufus (Nancy Cartwright), and computer genius Wade (Tahj Mowry). Its iconic theme song was performed by Christina Milian, which rounds out just about the most perfect early 2000s kids’ cartoon cast you could imagine.”

The original creators of the series have returned to co-write this live-action script with screenwriter Josh Cagan. No word on when this film might be released, but it’ll probably be either late 2018 or early 2019, considering the casting process is just beginning. We will keep you posted.

How do you feel about this news? And who do you think should play Kim and Ron?

Ryan Reynolds Channels Flashdance In Super Cool Poster For Deadpool 2 (PHOTO)

Watching the promotional campaign for the Deadpool films is almost more entertaining than watching the actual movies. They’re not afraid to get strange and it makes everyone want to see what they’re going to release next.

This week, the marketing team behind Deadpool 2 released a new poster for the film, which features Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool posing with a chair in “an homage to the famous scene from the 1983 hit Flashdance.”

The main difference being Reynolds is showered with bullets instead of water…

What’s interesting is that it feels like we’ve been talking a lot about this sequel, but we don’t really know a lot about it. We don’t know much about the plot. Heck, we don’t even know the actual title. It’s not going to be called Deadpool 2. That’s just a placeholder.

The good news is we will be finding out more information in a week or two when the official trailer premieres around Valentine’s Day. The movie is expected to hit theaters May 18, 2018.

Michael B. Jordan Reveals The Diet/Workout For The ‘Creed’ Movies Is Ruining His Social Life

You think actors have it easy? Okay, they kinda do, but that doesn’t mean they don’t also work hard. Michael B. Jordan has basically been on a strict diet for the past few years of his life. It all started with Creed in 2015, and then straight from Creed, Jordan had to maintain his physique for Black Panther.

The 30-year-old actor was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to promote Black Panther, and during the interview, he revealed that his diet/workout is severely impacting his social life.

“Do you know how often you have to use the bathroom when you’re drinking a gallon, especially in the middle of the night. It’s hard to go out to a club or a party when you’re like, ‘Oh, wait! Meal prep! We gotta go pop this thing in the microwave and eat food,’ It’s tough to socialize when you gotta get in shape like that.”

The bad news for him? He’s not getting a break anytime soon. Production on Creed II will start in April, which means Jordan has no time to get lazy. In fact, he revealed he was headed to the gym right after the interview with Ellen.

“As soon as I leave here, I’m going to the gym,” he told Ellen. That’s when she asked him if he’d ever consider playing a “lazy” character who does nothing at all besides gain weight. Jordan laughed and said, “Imma work on that.”

By the way, you can watch Jordan in Black Panther starting February 16, 2018. Buy a ticket…THE DUDE HAS BEEN WORKING HIS BUTT OFF.

Check Out The First Trailer For ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ (VIDEO)

Sprinkled inside the box of Super Bowl commercials every year are a few movie trailers for the blockbuster films scheduled to be released in the summer.

One of the trailers released on Sunday night was for Tom Cruise’sMission: Impossible — Fallout‘ film. It’s the sixth installment in the spy series, which first started when Cruise was just 34-years-old. He’s now 55, and he’s showing no signs of an early retirement.

The last film in the franchise, Rogue Nation, received great reviews from critics and made over $650 million at the box office. Christopher McQuarrie directed that installment, and he returned for this sequel, as did Alec Baldwin and Rebecca Ferguson.

Mission: Impossible — Fallout will hit theaters July 27, 2018. Check out the trailer below…

Netflix Drops The Trailer For ‘The Cloverfield Paradox’ And Then Releases The Film Hours Later!

Well, damn. Two years ago, J.J. Abrams shocked audiences by releasing 10 Cloverfield Lane out of nowhere. No one knew it was coming, and even though it wasn’t a direct Cloverfield sequel, it still satisfied fans of the franchise. In fact, it was better received by critics than the first film.

Fast forward to 2018, and the folks behind the franchise have surprised us again. The Cloverfield Paradox, which was originally titled God Particle, released a trailer during the Super Bowl with the shocking announcement that the full movie would be available to stream right after the big game.

It’s a smart move by Netflix. Instead of giving people the opportunity to forget about it, by announcing a release date two months in the future, they took full advantage of their Super Bowl ad by making sure people could go straight to the movie following the game.

The sad news? The film is already getting trashed by critics. They say it’s a mess of a movie that doesn’t make much sense, which might be why Paramount was so willing to give it up to the streaming giant.

F. Gary Gray Is In Talks To Direct The ‘Men In Black’ Reboot From Sony

Even though we won’t be getting the once promised Men in Black/21 Jump Street crossover film, Sony is still developing a spin-off of the Men in Black franchise. The idea would be to bring back the original idea of government agents processing extraterrestrial immigrants, except this time we wouldn’t have Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones, which is basically like eating melted ice cream.

Iron Man screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum have been hired to write the script for this reboot, and now we are hearing that F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) is in talks to direct the film.

The plan is to release this movie in the summer of 2019, so they are trying to speed things up. According to a report from Variety, Sony will not attempt to replace Smith and Jones with similar characters.

“Sources tell Variety that the new leads will not be different versions of Smith’s Agent J and Jones’ Agent K, but rather completely new characters, with one of them likely to be a woman. Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing, with Steven Spielberg executive producing. David Beaubaire is overseeing the pic for Sony.”

Sounds…interesting. I mean, it seemed to work for Jumanji, so maybe it’ll work for Men in Black as well. I just can’t imagine a Men in Black film without Will Smith, but I am willing to give it a chance.
