Brad Pitt has been one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood for a loooong time. We’re obviously watching a legendary actor in his prime right now.

Pitt’s next film, a sci-fi adventure flick titled ‘Ad Astra‘ is set to hit theaters on September 20. In the film, Pitt plays a man who travels across the solar system in search of his missing father, played by Tommy Lee Jones.

James Gray directed ‘Ad Astra’ for Fox from a script he co-wrote with Ethan Gross. Ruth Negga, Jamie Kennedy, and Donald Sutherland are also starring.

The film had its premiere at the Venice Film Festival this week and most critics are giving it rave reviews. It currently holds a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Some say Pitt could get an Oscar nomination for his role.

But how much will the film make at the box office? According to early tracking reports, it’s set to make around $20 million during its opening weekend. The film worked with a budget close to $80 million.

If the reviews continue to be golden, then it’s possible word-of-mouth bumps the opening weekend number up. It’s possible it could reach $25 or $30 million.
