Most people probably know British actor Lennie James from his brilliant work on The Walking Dead. He plays Morgan on the show and he always demands your attention. He’s a super talented guy, and if you only know him from The Walking Dead, you should go back and look at his history in television & film. In fact, if you’re a fan of TWD, you’ll probably love one of James’ previous shows titled Jericho. It got canceled back in 2008, but it’s worth a binge watch.
Why do we mention all this? Because the rest of Hollywood is starting to recognize his talent, and he’s getting offers to join some pretty huge films. According to multiple reports, the 50-year-old actor has joined the cast of Blade Runner 2.
We don’t know how big his role will be in the film, and we probably won’t know for at least a few more months. Details surrounding the sequel have been hard to capture. All we know is that it will be a direct sequel and Harrison Ford will return to his starring role as Rick Deckard.
In addition to Ford and James, we know Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, and Dave Bautista have joined the project. It’s going to be interesting to see what direction they take this sequel. Trying to match the amount of love the original film received is going to be extremely difficult.
We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available. It’s scheduled to be released in theaters October 2017.
