‘Bad Boys For Life’ Tops Box Office Again, ‘The Gentlemen’ And ‘The Turning’ Fail Miserably

Let’s start with the good news. ‘Bad Boys For Life‘ continues to have success at the box office. It took the number one spot again this past weekend, bringing in an additional $34 million. In total, it’s made over $215 million worldwide.

Unfortunately, the box office love didn’t extend to new openings ‘The Gentlemen’ and ‘The Turning’

First, The Gentlemen, which stars Matthew McConaughey opened to a pretty disappointing $11 million. As we said last week, it kinda felt like a movie no one cared about, and this disappointing opening seems to confirm it.

Meanwhile, the horror flick The Turning had an even worse time at the box office. It made just $7.3 million and had a terrible 13% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

And perhaps even more important than the Rotten Tomato score, it also had an “F” CinemaScore, which means the general audience hated it as well.

If there is any good news, the film was made on a modest $14 million budget, so at least it won’t be losing much (if any) money.
