Check Out Snoopy In The First Adorable Trailer For ‘The Peanuts Movie’

It’s here, folks! The first trailer for the mysterious Peanuts animated film. We say mysterious because the team producing the movie has deliberately tried to keep the plot a secret. And that trend has continued with the film’s first trailer.

In fact, some might say this trailer is more of a teaser, which some argue is more effective than a detailed trailer. Snoopy and Woodstock dominate the trailer, but Charlie Brown does make quite the entrance at the end of clip, so be sure to watch the whole thing.

For those worried about Fox ruining Charles Schulz’s wonderful creation, there is reason to believe this film will be sticking to the spirit of the original comic strip. And we’re not just saying that because of the adorableness found in the trailer down below.

Charles Schulz’s son Craig and his son Bryan are writing and producing the film, so we are confident this adventure will live up to expectations. You can catch the film in a theater near you November 6th, 2015.

David Spade Teases Joe Dirt Fans With First Photo From ‘Joe Dirt 2’

I am ashamed to admit how freaking excited I am for this film. As most of you hardcore Joe Dirt fans know, David Spade is putting on that beautiful mullet once again for Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser. We learned the somewhat surprising news earlier this month.

It was announced that Happy Madison will produce the film, and it will be released worldwide on the website Crackle in 2015. For those of you who have never heard of Crackle before, it’s essentially a television network on the internet. It’s free to watch; however, you do have to sit through commercials, which means this new Joe Dirt movie will have commercials.

Former Saturday Night Live writer Fred Wolf was hired to help David Spade write and produce the sequel. When the news was first announced, we heard that filming would begin in Louisiana in mid-November.

Well, we are right in the middle of November and it looks like filming is right on track. David Spade posted the gorgeous selfie you see down below to his Twitter account yesterday. He captioned the photo, “Day 1. Let’s get this s*** started! #imjoedirt #whatscrappenin

Ah, this almost brings a tear to my eye. If you haven’t seen the first Joe Dirt, I highly suggest you check it out. Don’t let the 11% on Rotten Tomatoes deter you. You need this man in your life.

Hunger Games Director Refused To Use ‘Digital Trickery’ To Recreate Philip Seymour Hoffman

Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead inside his apartment back in February of this year. News of his death shocked his fans, family and his Hunger Games co-stars. The award-winning actor had just a few scenes left to film for his role as Plutarch Heavensbee in the ‘Hunger Games’ franchise.

After his death, rumors surfaced that director Francis Lawrence would digitally recreate the actor for his last two scenes in the series. Obviously, with the technology in place today, that wouldn’t have been an issue for Lawrence.

However, during a recent interview with Huffpost Live, the director explained that he refused to use CGI to recreate Hoffman.

“He had two scenes with dialogue that were left and we decided we didn’t want to try any digital trickery with him, so we rewrote his scenes and gave the dialogue to other actors.”

Why did he decide to do that? Well, because Hoffman deserved better.

“I just think to try to fake a Philip Seymour Hoffman performance would have been catastrophic and I would never want to do that.”

It’s hard to argue with his reasoning. And the films have done a tremendous job of staying true to the books, so I don’t think this change will ruin the movie for anybody.

You can catch The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 in a theater near you this Friday. Or if you are like me and purchased tickets to the advance screening, you’ll be watching it a day early on Thursday.

Watch Robin Williams In The Final Trailer For ‘Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb’

It’s the final trailer for the final ‘Night At The Museum’ film, featuring Robin Williams as Theodore Roosevelt in one of his final movies. I don’t know about you, but that’s one too many “finals” for me. I think we would all be elated if we could erase the last final mentioned.

MovieClips Trailers was the first to release the trailer you see down below. As we mentioned, Secret of the Tomb, is the third and final film in the series. In addition to Williams reprising his role as the hilarious animated statue of Teddy Roosevelt. Ben Stiller will also be back in the lead role as Larry Daley and Owen Wilson will return as Jedediah.

And new cast member, Rebel Wilson, will be playing a guard at The British Museum. Seemingly replacing Jonah Hill’s character in the Battle of the Smithsonian.

Check out the trailer down below and be sure to watch it in theaters December 19, 2014.

REPORT: ‘Breaking Bad’ Director Michelle MacLaren In Talks To Direct ‘Wonder Woman’ Movie

She directed 11 of Breaking Bad’s 62 episodes (more than any other director), she directed three episodes of The Walking Dead and four episodes of Game of Thrones. And now it looks like Michelle MacLaren is ready to make her big-screen debut with the 2017 Wonder Woman film.

According to a report from Variety, MacLaren is in serious talks with Warner Bros. Pictures. We do know they were searching for a female director to take on the first modern female superhero film, so this report does seem to make a lot of sense. MacLaren is extremely talented, there is no question about that. Just go watch the ‘One Minute‘ episode from Breaking Bad’s third season. That’s all the evidence you need.

Aside from the release date (June 23, 2017), the producer Charles Roven and Gal Gadot playing the lead role, not much else is known about this Wonder Woman movie. We did hear one report claiming it would follow Captain American: The First Avenger and be a period piece; however, fans don’t seem thrilled with that idea.

We’ll see what happens. As we mentioned above, the film won’t even be released until 2017. What do you think? Is MacLaren a good choice?

Is Adam Sandler Back? Check Out The Trailer For His New Film ‘The Cobbler’

I have expressed my disappointment with Adam Sandler’s recent films on this site before. When Netflix announced a four-picture deal with Sandler recently, I felt absolutely zero excitement. Mainly because his films continue to get worse year after year.

However, I know Adam Sandler still has something special inside of him. I believe he shines in the dramedy sub-genre (e.g. Punch-Drunk Love). And that’s why I am excited to watch his new film, The Cobbler.

Not only does this film have an amazing cast, which includes Steve Buscemi and Dustin Hoffman, but it was also written and directed by Thomas McCarthy. The genius behind films like Win Win and The Visitor.

With McCarthy behind the film, that should be reason enough to check it out. Yes, it’s true the movie did receive some mixed reviews after the Toronto International Film Festival, but that shouldn’t stop you from seeing it.

Plus, we hear it’s supposed to skip theaters and go straight to Video-On-Demand, which means you won’t need to put on pants to watch it.

Check out the official plot synopsis and trailer down below…

“A warm and character-driven comedy that plays to the strengths of Adam Sandler’s and Thomas McCarthy’s most commercial successes. Sandler plays a 4th generation shoe-maker who discovers a magical sewing machine in his father’s basement that allows him to transform into other people by wearing their shoes.”

Kevin Hart And The Rock Teaming Up For New Comedy ‘Central Intelligence’

No one is hotter than Kevin Hart right now. Scripts are just being thrown at him left and right, and it has a lot to do with his huge following. The character he built for his stand-up routine is so good, that people would pay to watch him eat chicken noodle soup for two hours. And this is why we will be seeing the 35-year-old comedian in another buddy action-comedy film.

We all know how successful he was teaming up with Ice Cube in the movie Ride Along. Critics demolished the film, but it still took in over $130 million, which is great considering the estimated budget was only around $25 million.

So, Hollywood has decided to purchase more tickets to ride the Hart train straight to Cashtown. We learned yesterday Hart will star with Dwayne Johnson in a new film titled, Central Intelligence. The film will be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (We’re The Millers), and will follow Hart around as he plays the role of former high school jock-turned-accountant.

His extremely boring life gets a shot of excitement when the nerd (Johnson) he used to pick on in high school contacts him. Turns out Johnson’s character is now an assassin for the CIA. And for some reason, he needs Hart to help stop the sale of military secrets.

New Line Cinema has not announced a release date; however, we hear they might start filming in the spring. If that is the case, then we could be seeing this film in theaters sometime in 2016. We will keep you updated.

Neil deGrasse Tyson Gives His Honest “Science” Review Of ‘Interstellar’

You have probably seen a number of reviews for Christopher Nolan’s space drama, Interstellar. Some reviews have been positive and some reviews have been negative, but almost all of the reviews focused solely on the acting, camerawork, storyline, etc. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson took to Twitter yesterday to give a different kind of review.

Just as he did with the film Gravity last year, Tyson reviewed the film based on the science presented in the film. And if you just compare the science in Interstellar with the science in Gravity, it appears Christopher Nolan has won the battle, at least according to someone much smarter than me.

Check out Tyson’s tweets down below:

There you have it, folks! Now, when you go watch the movie with your friends, you can pretend you are smarter than they are by saying things like,

You: Wow, amazing film. My favorite part had to be experiencing Einstein’s Curvature of Space. I can’t think of another feature film showing Einstein’s theory quite like that.

Me: Yeah…uh…that part was great! But what did you think about the incredibly cheesy dialogue?

You: I dunno.

Matt Damon Makes It Official, Will Be Returning As Jason Bourne In 2016!

He’s back! Back in September, we heard rumors that Matt Damon was close to signing a deal to star in the next Bourne chapter. The rumors were a little surprising because Damon stated after the release of The Bourne Ultimatum in 2007, he would not make another film in the franchise unless Paul Greengrass agreed to direct it.

At the time, Greengrass had mentioned he wanted time off from the Bourne series to focus on other projects. Fast forward to 2012, and Matt Damon stayed true to his promise. He did not star in The Bourne Legacy, which was written and directed by Tony Gilroy. Most everyone assumed we had seen the last of Matt Damon as Jason Bourne.

However, we now have confirmation that both Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass will be returning to the franchise. During a red carpet interview with E! News last Friday, Damon confirmed that he will be filming another Bourne movie next fall.

“It’ll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. [Director] Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that’s all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes.”

The name of the next film in the franchise still hasn’t been released, but we do know it’s scheduled for a July 15, 2016 release. Since filming will take place next year, we should be learning more details about the film pretty soon. We will keep you updated as we learn more information.

It Looks Like Margot Robbie Will Play Harley Quinn In ‘Suicide Squad’

I must admit, when I first woke up this morning, I noticed a headline mentioning Margot Robbie’s name alongside the word suicide. And since I was still half asleep, I thought the headline was saying she committed suicide. It was a difficult five seconds in my life. I actually thought about killing myself for a few seconds.

But the good news is that Margot Robbie did not take her own life. The headline was actually talking about the breaking news regarding David Ayer’s Suicide Squad film. According to multiple sources, Robbie will play Harley Quinn in the film, which is scheduled to be released in 2016. The film has been described as, “The Dirty Dozen with supervillains” by director/writer David Ayer.

You may remember a few weeks ago when we learned the details surrounding this film, we mentioned that Ayer was recruiting an all-star cast for this movie. Names like Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling and Tom Hardy. We said then that it would be hard for him to land every star, and we were correct. Ryan Gosling reportedly passed on playing The Joker because he didn’t want to sign a deal with options for multiple movies.

According to rumors floating around this past weekend, Jared Leto is now the favorite to take on The Joker role. Nothing has been signed, but it does appear Jared Leto is up for the challenge.

As always, we will keep you updated.
