Check Out The New Teaser Poster For ‘IT Chapter Two’ Inside!

Halloween might be over now, but it’s never too early to start preparing for the upcoming round of scares next year.

IT Chapter Two‘ is set to be released in September of 2019, and to get you hyped, they released the teaser poster you see at the bottom of this page.

Admittedly, the poster is pretty lame. It mainly just acts as a reminder that the movie is going to be released next year. For those who don’t know, this sequel will take place 27 years after the events of the first film. The adult cast will include James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Jay Ryan and James Ranson.

And obviously Bill Skarsgard will return to reprise his role as the killer clown. The kids from the first film will also return during flashbacks.

The first movie premiered in September of 2017 and made over $123 million during its opening weekend. It was the highest opening weekend for a September release in movie history.

The studio is hoping next year’s film breaks their own record. It’ll hit theaters September 6, 2019. Check out the poster below…

It’s OFFICIAL! Bad Boys 3 Is Happening, Will Smith Posts Video With Martin Lawrence To Announce The News!

The last ‘Bad Boys‘ film to hit the screen was Bad Boys II back in 2003. That’s right, 15 years ago. For the past several years, fans of the franchise have been teased with rumors of a third film, only to be disappointed again and again.

At one point, Bad Boys 3 actually had a release date of November 9, 2018, but before filming got started, the director Joe Carnahan backed out because of a scheduling conflict. That was a huge blow to the franchise.

But thankfully, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence continued to fight for the movie, and now it looks like it’s finally happening…FOR REAL!

Smith went on his Instagram account to let his fans know that a sequel was coming. He even had Lawrence with him to make it more legit. Check out his post below…

Watch The Disturbing Trailer For ‘The House That Jack Built’ And Find Out How You Can Watch It Inside A Theater Near You

Controversial filmmaker Lars von Trier made a return to the Cannes film festival this past year after being banned for seven years. He premiered the serial killer drama ‘The House That Jack Built‘ and immediately made everyone regret their decision to let him back in.

People say the movie is overly violent, gross and just plain terrible, which kinda makes you want to watch it, right? Don’t be ashamed.

You can watch the latest trailer for the film at the bottom of the page, but before you do that, you should know that a director’s cut of the movie will play inside theaters for one night only on November 28. This is the version that caused all the drama at Cannes, so it’s probably worth a ticket.

After that, the standard version will be released inside select theaters and on VOD on December 14.

Tyler Perry Is Saying Goodbye To His ‘Madea’ Character In 2019

If you would have told me ten years ago that Tyler Perry would be ending his ‘Madea’ character/films before the Fast & Furious franchise ends, I’d say you were crazy.

But it looks like Perry knows when to stop, unlike Vin Diesel & company. Perry debuted the character back in 1999, and since then, Madea has starred in dozens of films, plays and even had several television appearances. It’s safe to say, the Madea franchise has made Perry a very wealthy man.

Perry is ready to move on, though. During a recent interview on Bevy Smith’s SiriusXM show, the filmmaker announced he will be doing a farewell stage tour for the character, and 2019’s ‘Tyler Perry’s a Madea Family Funeral‘ will be the final movie.

“I’m happy to kill that old bitch, I’m tired, man. I just don’t want to be her age, playing her.”

He and his team actually finished shooting the film two years ago. They wanted to put the film behind the Halloween specials in 2016 and 2017.

“Spanning 10 installments, the Madea film franchise has garnered more than $500 million worldwide. Madea was first introduced in Perry’s 1999 play ‘I Can Do Bad All By Myself.’ He has said she was based on his own mother.”

Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral is set to hit theaters March 1, 2019.

Alamo Drafthouse Will Shut Down During Election Day To Encourage People To Vote

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema remains the coolest theater chain in the country. It was announced this week that locations in 27 cities across America will not open until mid-afternoon on November 6 (Election Day) to encourage its customers and employees to vote in the midterms.

The founder of Alamo Drafthouse, Tim League, released the statement you see below…

“My mom instilled in me at a young age the importance of voting in every election, and I try to pay that forward with the staff at Alamo. So, we’re closing our locations for the first round of shows and offering to pick up the tab on any staff member’s rideshare to a polling place.”

That’s pretty freaking cool. It’s interesting because most of their locations are in Texas (where they started) and Texas is in the middle of an intense Senate race between Ted Cruz and Beto O’Rourke. They are seeing record turnout in early voting.

Honestly, more companies should do this. I mean, maybe if we treated Election Day like a holiday, more people would participate. Give people the day off, let them vote, campaign, spend time with their family and then watch the results.

Aaron Sorkin Will Direct Sacha Baron Cohen In The Long-Awaited ‘Trial of the Chicago 7’

It looks like it’s finally happening, folks. Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment have been waiting a long time to produce this movie, and now the pieces are finally coming together.

The political drama ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7‘ has been in development hell for 10 years now. Aaron Sorkin wrote the original script for the movie, and at one point, Spielberg was going to direct it, but the writers strike forced him to delay the project.

And then in 2013, Spielberg tried to get the film up and running again. Paul Greengrass was set to direct, but when he couldn’t agree on a budget with Spielberg, the film was shelved again.

Now it looks like in 2018 it’s all coming together. Aaron Sorkin will direct his own script. Spielberg was apparently impressed with Sorkin’s directorial debut with ‘Molly’s Game,’ and decided he’d be a perfect fit.

Sacha Baron Cohen will reportedly star in the film, which is based on the documentary titled ‘Chicago 10’

Variety gives us more details:

“The film is based on the infamous 1969 trial of seven defendants charged by the federal government with conspiracy and more, arising from the countercultural protests in Chicago at the 1968 Democratic National Convention. The trial transfixed the nation and sparked a conversation about mayhem intended to undermine the U.S. government.”

We’re sure more casting news will be coming soon. We know they want A-list talent for this movie, and with Spielberg and Sorkin attached, they’ll have no problem with recruitment.

‘Halloween’ Grabs The Number One Spot At The Box Office, And ‘A Star Is Born’ Continues To Impress

As expected, ‘Halloween‘ continued to dominate the box office. After bringing in just over $77 million during its opening weekend, the ‘Halloween’ sequel stayed strong in its second weekend at the box office.

It earned the number one spot again this past weekend, bringing in $32 million, which was enough to beat ‘A Star Is Born‘ at $14 million. In total, it’s made over $170 million worldwide, which is a huge win for the studio.

Meanwhile, ‘A Star Is Born’ is doing work. It’s never been at the top of the box office, because it opened against a comic-book film, but it’s been at the number two spot for the past four weekends. That is truly impressive. It’s made over $100 million overseas, which means in total it’s made over $250 million at the box office.

It’s one of those rare films that is a smash at the box office and with award voters. It’ll likely be nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga could both be nominated for their acting as well.

If the Oscars want ratings, then this will certainly help. I can imagine a lot of people tuning in to see how the film performs.

Chris Rock Will Direct Kevin Hart In Upcoming Comedy Flick ‘Co-Parenting’

Do you like Kevin Hart? What about Chris Rock? If you answered yes to both of those questions, then your dream movie is ready to enter production.

According to multiple reports, Chris Rock will direct Kevin Hart in the comedy film Co-Parenting. The project is reportedly based on an original idea by Rock and Hart.

“Hart will portray a stay-at-home dad who raises the kids while his CEO wife serves as the breadwinner and finds himself in turmoil when his wife decides to ditch him, leading to a bitter divorce and custody battle.”

Yamara Taylor (Black-ish) will write the script, which is being produced by Will Packer who produced both Night School and Girls Trip.

This is pretty exciting news for comedy fans. Rock is a legend in the game and Hart is one of the hardest working comedians out there. It’ll be great to see them team up together to hopefully create something special.

No word on when this film might be released, but we will keep you posted. In the meantime, you can check out Rock’s acting skills on the next season of Fargo.

Idris Elba And Tilda Swinton Both On Board For George Miller’s ‘Three Thousand Years Of Longing’

At 73-years-old, George Miller is still going strong. Three years after the wild success of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road,” Miller is returning to write/direct a film titled Three Thousand Years of Longing.

And he’s going to have an incredible cast to work with. We know that both Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton have agreed to star in the film.

Not much is known about the mysterious epic, but according to Deadline it’s “said to be unlike anything the filmmaker has done before,” which will either make you excited or terrified. I mean, the dude’s last two films were Mad Max and and Happy Feet Two, so what hasn’t he done?

Some sources say this movie will be a love story featuring a genie, but I’m not sure if that’s been confirmed yet.

We will keep you posted as more information is released. Keep your eyes out for this one, folks. It could be something special.

By the way, Elba is currently filming the ‘Fast & Furious‘ spinoff ‘Hobbs and Shaw‘ with Dwayne Johnson. You can find Swinton in the fantasy/thriller, Suspiria.

Check Out The Latest Trailer For ‘How To Train Your Dragon 3’

The lovable Hiccup and Toothless are the two stars of the upcoming ‘How To Train Your Dragon 3

This latest trailer opens by setting up Hiccup’s desire to find the hidden world that is home to the dragons. Hiccup is voiced by Jay Baruchel and America Ferrera returns to voice Astrid.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Dean DeBlois said this film will work as an end to Hiccup’s trilogy…

“So much of Hiccup’s identity, as a leader and an adult, is because of his relationship with Toothless. But if Toothless is not there, who is Hiccup? You will understand why Hiccup says, as you heard in the trailer, ‘There were dragons when I was a boy.’”

Looks like this movie will be teaching the important lesson of letting go. Not just for Hiccup, but for the audience as well.

Check out the trailer below. How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World will hit theaters February 22, 2019.
