No one actually thought Arnold Schwarzenegger could act. Sure, he is listed as an actor on his wiki page, but most of his films are Sharknado quality.
But in 2015, Arnold decided to get serious. He starred in the zombie flick Maggie, and while it might not have been the best movie ever, it did feature a surprising performance from Arnold. He showed some talent with his character and managed to get emotional without mistakenly being hilarious as well.
His next film, Aftermath, is another serious drama. Comingsoon.net offers this description of the film:
“Two strangers’ lives become inextricably bound together after a devastating plane crash. Inspired by actual events, Aftermath tells a story of guilt and revenge after an air traffic controller’s (McNairy) error causes the death of a construction foreman’s (Schwarzenegger) wife and daughter.”
The script was written by Javier Gullon, the screenwriter behind 2013’s Enemy, so we have high hopes for this one.
