Geez. Things are moving fast with this scheduled ‘Terminator‘ revival, and that’s a bit surprising because James Cameron is involved, and he usually doesn’t work fast.
As we mentioned last month, James Cameron will regain his rights to the Terminator franchise in late 2018, and he’s been planning something big with current rights holder David Ellison. They want to bring back the franchise in a big way. A new Terminator trilogy.
And it looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger will be returning. The 70-year-old actor talked to The Playlist, and he revealed that shooting could begin as early as March 2018.
“In March next year, I am shooting Terminator 6, James Cameron and David Ellison are back on board and then comes a Conan.”
It’s interesting he calls the project Terminator 6. Cameron’s comments from last month made it seem like this new trilogy would be the start of something new, but the fact that they’re calling it Terminator 6 makes us believe it will be a direct continuation of the franchise.
Hopefully more information is released soon. Will Arnold be the star of this movie? Or will it be a Rocky situation where he’s the old star fading out introducing us to someone new?
We’ll keep you posted.[mashshare]
