Anthony Mackie And David Harbour Set To Star In Family Adventure Film ‘We Have A Ghost’

David Harbour is used to working in the family-friendly space. He’s played the lovable Jim Hopper on the Netflix series ‘Stranger Things‘ for years now. And while that show primarily deals with lab-created monsters, Harbour is preparing to deal with another type of monster.

He’s set to star in the upcoming family adventure film, We Have A Ghost. Joining him will be Anthony Mackie, Tig Notaro, Jennifer Coolidge and Jahi Di’Allo Winston.

Christopher Landon will write/direct the film for Netflix. He previously worked on Happy Death Day and Freaky.

The film centers on Kevin, who finds a ghost named Ernest haunting his new home. Kevin subsequently becomes an overnight social media sensation, along with his family. But when he and Ernest go rogue to investigate the mystery of the latter’s past, they become targets of the CIA.

Sounds like a fun little premise. The script is reportedly based on a short story written by Geoff Manaugh, so congrats to him. Getting a feature film made out of your short story. That’s not a bad life.

The report makes it sound like Landon is still working on the script, so filming probably won’t begin until later this year, which means you’re probably looking at a release date in mid-to-late 2022.

But of course, we’ll keep you posted.
