It was a great weekend at the box office for ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp,’ the sequel to 2015’s ‘Ant-Man‘ made $76 million this past weekend. That number is pretty huge considering the original film made $57 million during its opening weekend.
If it continues on this track, it should beat the $519 million worldwide total set by the original film. Cathleen Taff, Disney’s head of domestic distribution, says everyone is thrilled with the film’s success…
“We are really thrilled about the results. We continue to be amazed by what Kevin Feige and the team do with these films.”
Meanwhile, the Pixar team is still celebrating the great success of Incredibles 2. The sequel to the 2004 hit film has made a ridiculous amount of money at the box office.
It just crossed the $500 million mark domestically, which makes it the first animated film to ever reach $500 million at the North American box office. It’s made over $700 million worldwide. It made $10.6 million in France during its opening weekend. That’s the second best opening for a Pixar film in that market. Finding Nemo holds the title.
Disney continues to dominate the world. Pretty soon, everything is going to be Disney. Your future child will be named Disney. The popcorn you eat at the movies will be Disney-Flavored Popcorn. You’ll be wiping your a** with Disney toilet paper.[mashshare]
