Leslie Knope is moving up in the world. The lovely Amy Poehler will make her feature directorial debut with the upcoming Netflix comedy, Wine Country.
Not only will she direct the film, she’s also set to star and produce. In addition to Poehler, Rachel Dratch, Paula Pell and Maya Rudolph will star in the comedy, which tells the story of longtime friends who go to Napa for a weekend getaway to celebrate a 50th birthday.
The script was written by Emily Spivey, who worked with Poehler on Parks and Recreation. Not much else is known about this project, but we’re sure more details will start coming out once production gets started.
Production is scheduled to start towards the end of March in Los Angeles and Napa, California, which means we’re probably looking at a late 2018 or early 2019 release date.
