I know Hollywood is known for remaking movies and we all have complained from time to time about it. Like “Get an original idea!” or “Why mess with a classic?” I usually agree with all those sentiments but I saw The Hangover Part II on Friday, and sat through 20 minutes of previews (mostly diverting my eyes),  there was one that caught my attention: Fright Night. This is a remake from the 1985 film starring Chris Sarandon.

Maybe it’s because it has Colin Ferrell in the lead role. Maybe it’s because it is about vampires, and I am a sucker (no pun intended) for vampire stories but I want to see this one.

Now, I must confess once I realized what the movie was I turned my gaze away for the second half of the preview and only listened. I really don’t want this one spoiled for me.

Believe it or not I never saw the first Fright Night and I was just thinking of what to watch next. Thanks for the suggestion! This reminds me of Disturbia.

I’m with you on the previews Katy, after seeing the sequel of the Hangover I saw the all of the previews that were released, thank god i did not watch any of them prior to seeing the movie, would have killed it.

Wynnie – I never saw Disturbia but I see your point. Glad you will see the new Fright Night.

Amanda – Yeah, they kind of had a following from the first – hope people who saw the previews are too upset.
